Severson & Associates Launches New Campground Association and One-of-A-Kind Tradeshow in 2021!

Branson, MO – March 2021 / Newsmaker Alert / The Campground Owners Association (COA), and a major campground industry trade show targeting 14 Midwestern states will debut Dec. 15-18 at the Branson Convention Center Hotel in Branson, Mo.

“Visitors are Cheering for Encores in Branson!”
The Branson/Lakes Area Convention & Visitors Bureau tells us, “Branson’s long list of live shows, amazing performers, and jaw-dropping surprises leave audiences cheering for encores and coming back every year.” And we believe them! That’s why the COA is hosting its first annual COA Tradeshow in Branson, Missouri, at the Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel, December 15-18, 2021! Lori Severson, the owner of Severson and Associates, explains, “When we were brainstorming for venues, Bud and I both thought we needed a location with several showcase or event options. Branson was on our shortlist, and after we visited with Yvonne at the Visitors Bureau, it was a done deal.”

One-of-A-Kind Tradeshow
Business Owners, campground owners and suppliers alike, will receive backstage access to successful shows throughout the week in Showcase Backstage Sessions.

Attendees of the COA Tradeshow, campground owners and managers from all over the United States, run privately operated businesses and are always looking for new marketing ideas and techniques, and the story of how other companies became successful.

“We know Branson has a history of running some long-term, very successful shows, so we wanted to marry those two ideas and give our members access to the stories directly from the owners themselves,” explained Severson. COA Members and Suppliers alike will want to know how a business started, what they do to market themselves, and keep things fresh. The Tradeshow registration will include an opportunity to attend Showcase Backstage Sessions, highlighting how the show set up works and how production falls in place. COA Members will gather the information they can use in their campgrounds when hosting and putting on events, successes, and failures, overcoming challenging roadblocks, and what it takes to make it all work with a family involved. COA Suppliers will learn what their customers need to make it all happen in upcoming seasons and how their products and services can assist. Bud Styer, of Bud Styer Associates, Camping for the Fun of It, and co-collaborator of the COA Tradeshow elaborated on what attendees can expect. “COA Members will want to know how owners developed and distributed marketing materials, how they entice show attendees, and manage prices. Training new talent and employee appreciation and how that fits into their business model are so important, and these Showcase Owners have been doing it all for years! It’s like having your strategic business planning session while attending a tradeshow.”

COA Tradeshow Details
The 4-day COA Tradeshow will include over 100 vendors showcasing items campground owners can use in their businesses. Morning sessions include a debrief of what they learned from the showcases in the previous evening. The show will also offer daily seminars with industry-specific information like “Camping Rental Units: Focusing on the ins-and-outs of all things rental units! Learn about park models, cabins, yurts, trailers, tents, and more!” Other seminars will include general business information such as “Facebook & Social Media: Social media can be overwhelming, but it’s SO important for your business! Learn the basics and some extra tips.”

I wanted to provide those owners with all the priceless experiences we’ve gained over the years, and this show is a fabulous way to do that,” offers Severson.
