Lake Inn Resort and Spa has been honored for its outstanding wine program
in Wine Spectator’s
2022 Restaurant Awards, which celebrate the world’s best restaurants for
wine.

this beautiful waterfront hotel in Upstate New York, The AAA Four Diamond
The View Restaurant has won the Best of Award of Excellence whose recipients
display excellent breadth across multiple winegrowing regions and/or significant
vertical depth of top producers, along with superior presentation. Wine
Spectator’s iconic logo allows The View Restaurant to boast the two-glass
designation, symbolic of The Best Of. It is also indicative of Lake Placid’s
most recognized and awarded wine list.
“Our
beverage program is amazing,” said Curtiss
Hemm, Executive Chef and Food and Beverage Director. “We have over
760 selections of beverages and the list continues to grow. We feature
our entire beverage program in The View Restaurant and The View Lounge
equally.”
Wine
Spectator’s special Restaurant Awards issue is now available on newsstands.
This
establishment in New York’s Adirondack Mountains has received the Wine
Spectator designation the past 23 straight years. The Four Diamond
combination of lodging and dining gives the Mirror Lake Inn a unique distinction
in the Empire State.
Many
of The View’s guests begin and conclude their dining experiences with a
relaxing stop in The View Lounge.

Spectator began its program to recognize the world’s best wine lists
in 1981. There are three levels: the Award of Excellence, the Best of Award
of Excellence and the Grand Award—with 1,782; 1,290; and 97 winners this
year in each respective category.
