Stewart has joined National
Association of Convenience Stores (NACS) as editorial director/editor
in chief of the NACS Media Group. In this position, Stewart will oversee
the editorial and content leadership of NACS Magazine, the NACS
Daily e-newsletter and the association’s social and digital platforms.
| Prior to joining NACS, Stewart spent 12 years at the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, most recently as senior editor directing editorial services and content for the internationally recognized nonprofit research and communications group. In this role, she worked with domestic and global scientists and engineers to make their technical research and analyses accessible to journalists, policymakers, insurers and consumers. Stewart also served eight years at The Wall Street Journal, where she managed copy-desk production of the daily newspaper’s Asian and European editions and covered technology news for WSJ.com. NACS serves the $601 billion convenience and fuels retailing industry by sharing ideas and insights in its award-winning publications, including NACS Magazine and the “Convenience Matters” podcast; creating unique networking and education opportunities, including the annual NACS Show, which is one of the 40 largest tradeshows in the country at 420,000 net square feet; and through industry-leading research and analysis. Stewart earned a B.A. with a double major in English and historic preservation from the University of Mary Washington. About
