Four Path to Fame semi-finalists
from each city will advance to the final competition in Pigeon Forge on
June 22. Accommodations will be made for the semi-finalists and one guest
to travel to the finals in Pigeon Forge. To register, visit PFFame.com.
The grand champion selected
at June’s final competition will receive a prize package comprised of career-building
tools, including a one-year mentorship with Nashville-based talent executive
John Alexander who discovered Kelsea Ballerini and spent more than a decade
at Great American Country television network. Alexander will assist in
establishing consultations and industry meetings for the grand champion.
Additionally, the winner will perform at Pigeon Forge theater during a
complimentary return trip and receive assets and experiences to advance
his or her career. To view the complete grand prize package, visit PFFame.com.
The 2018 Path to Fame winner,
singer/songwriter Brenna
Beatty made her Grand Ole Opry debut on Dec. 8 at the historic Ryman
Auditorium. In January, Beatty, 18, signed with SESAC, an invitation-only
performing rights organization that represents the world’s top songwriters,
composers and music publishers. She has performed at various songwriters’
nights and showcases in Nashville and co-written with some of Music City’s
most prolific songwriters.
“Carly Pearce is just one
example of the incredible careers that were launched by our Pigeon Forge
theater community,” said Leon Downey, executive director of the Pigeon
Forge Department of Tourism. “Given our 2018 winner Brenna Beatty’s accomplishments
over the past few months, Pigeon Forge’s Path to Fame Talent Competition
has proven itself to be a viable vehicle for career advancement. We’re
eager to discover more great talent this year.”
Pigeon Forge helped launch
the careers of Janelle Arthur, Craig Morgan and Mandy Barnett.
“The caliber of talent we
discovered during last year’s Path to Fame tour was stellar,” said Alexander.
“Introducing Brenna Beatty to various industry executives and watching
her career take off is exciting. I know we’ll find equally talented performers
in Indianapolis, Lexington and Birmingham this year.”
A diverse judging panel will
determine who advances to the finals. Each audition’s judges include Alexander;
a Pigeon Forge theater community representative; and a local radio personality
in each audition city.
There are four eligible talent
categories: vocalist, instrumentalist, comedian and specialty act. Individuals
and groups of five or fewer can register in advance to audition at PFFame.com.
Onsite registration at the audition and check-in is from 9:30 a.m. to noon
local time. Auditions are on a first-come, first-served basis at each audition
