NY – July 2015 / Newsmaker Alert / The Great
New York State Fair’s Group Sales program offers companies and organizations
an affordable way to provide their employees, clients, or group members

their orders, State Fair Acting Director Troy Waffner announced Monday
(July 27).
Through the program, groups
of 100 or more admission tickets can be purchased with discounts that grow
larger as the size of the order increases, as shown through the following
schedule:
-
100 to 249 tickets: $5.75 each
-
250 to 499 tickets: $5.50 each
-
500 to 999 tickets: $5.25 each
-
1,000 to 1999 tickets: $5.00
each
-
2,000 or more tickets: $4.75
each
Additionally, organizations
can order parking passes for $5 each, Best Bets Bargain Books which offer
more than 100 money-saving coupons at the Fair for $4 each, and ride-all-day
wristbands for the Wade Shows Midway for $20 each. To place an order, download
the form at www.nysfair.org/group-ticket-sales
and submit it by fax or mail according to the instructions on the form.
“The Fair is known for the
excitement and fun it brings to families, but it can also bring that same
joy to employees of companies and organizations as well,” said Waffner.
Group sales have been increasing
as businesses discover the fun of the fair. Last year, more than 28,000
tickets were sold through the group sales program, an increase of 22% from
the 23,000 sold in 2013, which, in turn, was an increase of 26% from the
18,300 sold in 2012.
Loretto Community Residences
of Syracuse recently bought 4,000 tickets through the program for its employees.
“At Loretto, our employees strive to allow elders to live with comfort
and wholeness. The Fair’s Group Sales program helps us to thank them for
the hard work and effort they put forward daily,” said Michele Rita Gottschalk
of Loretto, who chairs the company’s Works to Appreciate and Value Employees
committee.
