Atlas Travel & Technology Group Announces Partnership
with The Lisa Colagrossi Foundation
|
Milford, MA – July 2016 / Newsmaker Alert / Atlas Travel & Technology Group, an award-winning, full-service travel and meetings management company, has announced its partnership with The Lisa Colagrossi Foundation (TLCF) at the recently concluded 2016 Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) Convention in Denver. The partnership is a strategic match for Atlas as TLCF is a registered 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to creating awareness and education for the signs, symptoms and risk factors for brain aneurysms, which disproportionately affect women 3:2 in the U.S.

“At Atlas, we have a long history of corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs for women and children and, we also provide our employees, many of whom are women, with the opportunity to support their own causes through our ReachOut CSR program,” says Lea Cahill, President of Atlas Travel & Technology Group.

According to Lea, a brain aneurysm also touched one of the company’s executives, making the TLCF cause all the more relevant to the company. In addition to pledging their support at the GBTA convention, Atlas will also be participating as a sponsor and auction donor at TLCF’s first annual gala, “A Cerebral Affair” on September 29th at Chelsea Piers in New York City. The gala, co-hosted by Gretchen Carlson (Fox News) and Bill Ritter (ABC News), will be held to raise money for brain aneurysm awareness and research.

Todd Crawford, founder of TLCF, is proud to partner with a socially responsible company such as Atlas – one that also shares his connection to the brain aneurysm cause. Upon the loss of his beloved wife Lisa Colagrossi to a traumatic brain aneurysm, Todd quit his corporate job and decided to dedicate his life to brain aneurysm awareness and education through the Foundation. Lisa, a popular television journalist for ABC News, had experienced one of the major warning signs of a brain aneurysm – a sudden onset of an excruciating headache – but did not realize it at the time.

“If someone or organization was advancing the signs and symptoms of brain aneurysms, in much the same way TLCF is doing now, Lisa and I would have handled her headache very differently, and it’s likely that Lisa and others would still be alive,” says Todd. “Now, my sons and I, are among the millions of people and families whose lives have drastically changed forever due to the devastating effects of brain aneurysms.”

According to Todd, awareness and education of the signs, symptoms and risk factors will help stop brain aneurysms from rupturing and help save lives. To date, the new Foundation has already saved 8 lives. To learn more about TLCF and the upcoming “A Cerebral Affair” gala, visit www.tlcfound.org.
