An 18th Century Tavern Night for the re-enactors – and a fun photo op for visitors – will be held on Friday evening at the Old Talbott Tavern, built in 1779 and frequented by such historical personages as Daniel Boone, George Rogers Clark and Simon Kenton. Food, drinks and alcohol can be ordered from the menu. Festival admission: Free.

Come one, come all to the historical ball
On Saturday evening, a historical ball will take place at the circa 1825 Wickland Estate-Home of Three Governors for the second year in a row. Participants are encouraged to dress in period-correct attire, but it is not essential to partake in the dancing and merriment. Music will be performed by White Orchid; calling will be provided by Dwight Blubaugh and Christine Todey.

Step back in time and share in the genteel life of the 18th century, recreated by performers and dancers dressed in authentic colonial attire. Ball tickets are $25 for the general public and $15 for registered Colonial  Days Re-enactors. Tickets are limited to 140 participants.

The Bardstown Colonial Days Historical Ball is held in conjunction with the city of Bardstown-Nelson Country Tourism Department and the Historic Wickland Estate. Visit www.BardstownColonialDays.com to see the event schedule, activities and registration information.
