5th Annual Bardstown Highland Games & Celtic Festival
Sat., Aug. 16, 2014
Opening Ceremonies for Highland Games: 12 p.m. Gates open at 9 a.m.; games begin at 10 a.m.
Bring a lawn chair or blanket, relax on the lawn at Heaven Hill Distilleries and enjoy this family-friendly event featuring Highland Games, the Haggis Toss and Clan Gatherings. There is traditional Celtic music, lots of foods including Scottish fish and chips, kid activities and inflatables and plenty of arts and crafts vendors.

Rolling Fork Iron Horse Festival

This weekend celebration of Rolling Fork Valley traditions features lots of down-home family fun, including train rides, parade, line dancing, children’s carnival games, face painting and magic shows and lots of music: gospel, classical – even a tribute to Elvis and Meatloaf. Rounding out the fun are stage shows, karaoke, arts and crafts and festival foods.

23rd Annual Kentucky Bourbon Festival

Meet the master distillers, tour the distilleries to learn the secret to making fine Kentucky bourbon, enjoy live music, dine on Southern delectables and taste the goods. Try this year’s official festival drink, the Sidecar Named Desire, created by Old Talbott Tavern. Signature events include Boots & Bourbon™, Bourbon, Cigars & Jazz™, Bourbon Cocktail Mixology™, The Great Kentucky Bourbon Tasting & Gala™, Kentucky Bourbon All-Star Sampler™ and the World Championship Bourbon Barrel Relay™, among others.

34th Annual Bardstown Arts, Crafts & Antiques Fair

More than 200 juried artists and craftsmen set up along the tree-lined streets of downtown Bardstown to show and sell their art works, holiday gifts and Kentucky Proud products. Enjoy bluegrass and country music, sample delicious Southern foods and see the Whiskey City Cruisers’ classic cars on Courthouse Square.
