Dallas,
TX – September 2015 / Newsmaker Alert / After sharing plans to continue
its rapid expansion in Mexico, Boston’s
Restaurant & Sports Bar (Boston’s), the casual dining concept that
combines a family-friendly restaurant and sports bar under one roof, is
announcing the signing of a new location in Quintana Roo that is expected
to open in the summer of 2016.
The
new location will be the first in Quintana Roo but will join the existing
Boston’s locations of Yucatan, Merida and Campeche in Southeast Mexico.
Similar to the other locations, the new restaurant will appeal to the Mexican
culture by offering its guests a contemporary, sit-down family dining atmosphere
with a separate sports bar, kid’s area, which allows for family gatherings
of all sizes. While Boston’s specializes in gourmet pizza and pasta, its
menu features nearly 90 items including salads, sandwiches and a variety
of sports bar favorites such as burgers, wings and ribs giving guests an
offering of traditional American cuisine.
“This
area has been longing for the perfect mixture between family-friendly restaurant
and sports-oriented dining environment,” said the owner of Boston’s Restaurant
& Sports Bar of Quintana Roo. “The food and atmosphere that Boston’s
provides is perfect for families and sports lovers in Playa del Carmen
and we are confident that this concept will be welcomed to this area and
look forward to serving the community.”
Behind
the new signing is franchising expert, Ericka Garza, whose focus is specifically
on developing franchise efforts within Mexico. Since joining the Boston’s
team 2013, Garza has helped sign deals for 16 locations which include expanding
areas with existing franchisees and new groups. The new Quintana Roo Boston’s
location will create up to 60 new jobs in the area, which will provide
a welcomed economic boost in local communities.
“The
success we have been seeing in Mexico has been extremely exciting for our
brand for many reasons,” said Ericka Garza, Director of International Franchise
Development for Boston’s. “Not only does the most recent deal in Quintana
Roo show that as a company, we are well on the way to meeting our international
development goals, but it further validates that the Boston’s concept is
able to flourish in countries outside of the U.S. and Canada.”
Overall,
Boston’s will bring a total of 26 new locations to the country over the
next 2.5 years. The first restaurant will open in Mexico City this fall
followed by an opening in Monterrey and Tuxtla, Gutierrez in late 2015.
Stateside, the company currently has 28 locations operating in 22 states
and the company’s sister brand, Boston Pizza which is celebrating more
than 50 years of service, has more than 375 locations throughout Canada
and is considered the No. 1 casual dining brand in the country.
