Back To News/PR Index | | Breckenridge Grand Vacations (BGV) Donates $750,000 to Support Community Center and Emergency Facilities | Construction
crews are nearly finished with the restoration of the 1909 school house
in Breckenridge. The school is being turned into a library and community
center in the heart of the small resort town. Its official name will be
the Breckenridge Grand Vacations Community Center and Summit County
South Branch Library. However, it is becoming known as the “BGV Center,”
reflecting the resort development company’s half million dollar investment
in the Center.
According to Rob Millisor, an owner/developer of the company, “BGV donated as a way to inspire others to donate and give back to the community.” BGV is in a new construction mode with work going full throttle at its newest venture, The Grand Colorado, a 75-unit high-end, luxury timeshare situated at the base of Breckenridge’s world-class mountain on Peak 8 directly adjacent to the gondola. Private offerings on the resort open in December. Currently, BGV’s 114-unit Grand Lodge on Peak 7 is scheduled for sell out at the end of 2014. Both Grand Timber Lodge and Grand Lodge on Peak 7 have won multiple American Resort Development Association (ARDA) awards including the ACE Project of Excellence in 2012. In 2014 Gold Point Resort won the top award for refurbishment and Grand Lodge was named a finalist in Resort Architecture. Approximately 500 BGV employees serve 20,000 owners at their existing properties.
