Harrisonburg,
VA – January 2020 / Newsmaker Alert / C.A.R.E., the Cooperative
Association of Resort Exchangers, announces that Avish Parashar, Motivational
Improviser, will deliver the conference’s second Keynote Presentation during
its 68th Conference
to be held at the Wyndham Philadelphia Historic District, Philadelphia,
Pennsylvania from April 4-7, 2020.
|
Parashar’s
hilarious and energetic program “Ding Happens! How to Improvise, Adapt,
and Innovate in an Ever-Changing World” will teach conference attendees
how to stop fearing and hating change and how to use the power of improv
comedy to improvise, adapt, and innovate-no matter what happens! Parashar
does advise conference attendees that “if things go 100% as planned for
you every time, you can skip this session: otherwise, attendees will enjoy
learning how to reflexively respond to the unexpected in a way that reduces
stress, improves productivity, and provides the skills to manage change.”
Avish
Parashar believes that he is “quite possibly the world’s only motivational
improviser”. He grew up in “exotic” Poughkeepsie, NY and now makes his
home in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Though he performed all through high
school, he decided to stop performing when he went to college. His resolve
lasted only a few months when he attended an improv comedy show and fell
in love. One week later he auditioned for the campus improv group, got
in, and the rest is history. After graduating, he started Polywumpus Improv
Comedy and performed in and around Philadelphia for seven years. Avish
now focuses on speaking and training and is the author of “Improvise to
Success!” and the Amazon best-selling, “Say Yes, And!”
C.A.R.E.
President Linda Mayhugh is excited about the session and stated, “Who doesn’t
love a good improv set? I think our attendees are going to enjoy Avish’s
sense of humor. Roll that into a useful message and we should all end the
conference smiling, energized and motivated!”
In
addition to an agenda that will offer numerous educational sessions, conference
attendees will have the opportunity to explore Philadelphia and network
while enjoying a cruise on The Spirit of Philadelphia and a double-decker
bus sightseeing tour of the historic city. Conference registration will
open in early February.
