C.A.R.E.
to Celebrate 30th Anniversary at Spring Conference
|
Harrisonburg,
VA – February 2015 / Newsmaker Alert / C.A.R.E.,
the vacation industry’s premier trade association, will celebrate its 30th
anniversary during its 60th
conference at the Westin Annapolis, Annapolis, MD from May 2-5, 2015.
It
is only fitting that the organization, long known for its stringent Code
of Standards and Ethics, is holding the celebration in Annapolis, home
of the U.S. Naval Academy. Since Annapolis is also the gateway to North
America’s largest estuary, the Chesapeake Bay, the celebration theme “Anchored
in Integrity” takes on a special meaning.
President
Alain Carr notes that, “30 years...not too many things run as well as they
once did after 30 years, but C.A.R.E. sure does! The best part about being
around for such a long time is that most of our core members have continued
this extraordinary journey with us. As we look forward to celebrating this
momentous occasion, it’s easy to get excited about the next 30 years.”
Numerous
events to commemorate C.A.R.E.’s anniversary are scheduled. The conference
will begin with “C.A.R.E. Gives Back”, a community service event for the
Chesapeake Bay Foundation. On Sunday, Colonel Arthur J. Athens, SUMRCR
(Ret) will deliver the keynote address, “Back to the Basics: The Fundamentals
of Extraordinary Leadership” and Maryland based C.A.R.E. Member and Elite
Sponsor, Travel Advantage Network, will host an evening celebration aboard
the Catherine Marie, a private, charter yacht. Other events include a tour
of nearby Washington, DC, sponsored by Endless Vacation Rentals and Global
Connections and a speed networking session hosted by Resort Travel and
XChange.
