C.A.R.E. Bids Farewell to Retiring Board Members
|
Harrisonburg, VA – April 2014 / Newsmaker Alert / With a combined total of over 27 years of service to the C.A.R.E. Board, Treasurer Vicki DiFabio, Vice Presidents Jeanette Bunn and Tina Hill, will retire from their positions at the expiration of their terms at the upcoming Spring C.A.R.E. conference in Destin, FL.

As C.A.R.E. Treasurer for the past 10 years, Vicki DiFabio of Tartan Management has been responsible for the stewardship of the association finances. Vicki has done an exceptional job of ensuring the fiscal health of C.A.R.E. In addition, she has served on the Member Benefits, Speaker and Conference committees. Her contributions have resulted in various benefits being made available to C.A.R.E. members as well as numerous memorable conferences throughout her tenure.

Jeanette Bunn of Travel To Go has served as Vice President for 9 years. As chairperson of the Marketing/Revenue Generation committee Jeanette implemented the Silent and Live Auctions as well as the Super Raffle which are conducted at C.A.R.E.’s semiannual conferences. Proceeds from these popular fundraisers are used for marketing to attract new members to C.A.R.E. and to augment conference expenses which result in one of the vacation industry’s best conference values.

Vice President Tina Hill of Leisuretainment has served on the C.A.R.E. Board for 8 years. Tina’s outstanding contributions to both the Membership and Sponsorship committees will make her hard to replace. Along with her membership committee co-chair, Tina and fellow committee members raised a record amount of sponsorship funding for the upcoming 2014 semiannual conferences.

All three departing Board members have reaffirmed their ongoing commitment to C.A.R.E. and to mentoring those who will replace them. The C.A.R.E. membership expresses its sincere appreciation to the departing Board members.

C.A.R.E. members will select three new vice presidents at the spring conference. The C.A.R.E. Board of Directors as well as all general and associate members are bound by a strict Code of Ethics which serves to protect member companies and the vacationing public. C.A.R.E. expresses its gratitude to departing Board members and its appreciation and best wishes to new directors to be elected this spring.
