“Church’s is honored to continue its relationship with one of our community’s most beloved holiday charities,” says Georgia Margeson, Senior Director of Advertising and Marketing for Church’s Chicken. “Giving back to our neighbors and guests is a huge part of who we are as a brand, and this annual event has become something our Atlanta-based team members look forward to each year.” This year, in addition to serving lunch for nearly 600 kids and their parents, Church’s will be joined by Austin Perine, the four-year-old “superhero” against hunger, who will help distribute superhero capes to the kids at the event. The adorable Austin has partnered Church’s at numerous charity feeding events throughout the year at homeless shelters and other non-profit organizations across the country. “Austin embodies the childlike spirit of giving and kindness we all strive for…” adds Margeson, “not just during the holidays, but all year round. We’re very excited he’s going to be at the event.” Atlanta Fire Chief, Al Howard, echoes the warm sentiment for the season. “The Toy Drive and Luncheon has been a part of the greater Atlanta community for more than 48 years,” he says. “It is because of partners like Church’s and the generosity of all those who live or work in Atlanta that we’ve been able to maintain this worthwhile tradition for those in need.” Other highlights at the annual Firehouse Toy Drive & Luncheon include music, family-friendly entertainment, and an appearance by Churchie, the brand’s mascot, and magician C. Magic. “Atlanta has been such a great place to work, live, and do business since our headquarters first relocated here more than 20 years ago,” says Margeson. “Our commitment to this community is very special to us and we look forward to participating in the Fire House 16 Holiday Toy Drive and Luncheon for many years to come.” About Church’s Chicken®
