Daniel Home, the Naples, Florida, premier home furnishings retailer,

Group, have recently completed the renovation of the Sorrento social
room at The Colony Golf & Bay Club in Bonita Springs.

 “The
Social Room is very popular with owners who use it to host social functions
and enjoy card games. They wanted a fresh, updated look without sacrificing
the integrity of the building’s quality design,” said Nancy Woodhouse IDS,
Lubner Group’s VP of Design and Product Development. “They also requested
solutions to reducing sound levels, which were elevated during social gatherings.”
To
accomplish this, Woodhouse took elements of the design and reinforced it
with sound-reducing materials, which are invisible to the eye. These acoustical
materials were added into the design of custom card tables, drapery lining,
and artwork, in addition to wall covering added on a feature wall. This
reduced unwanted noise and enhanced the room’s acoustical performance with
its sound absorption. Careful space planning resulted in more room for
an additional card table and increased seating for special events.
Woodhouse
implemented a transitional design theme to blend with existing common spaces.
The project included painting and the installation of new carpeting, wall
coverings, a new speaker system, lighting, furnishings and accessories.
