Back To News/PR Index | Cowboy Chicken Welcomes Its Third New Franchisee in 2014 | Cowboy Chicken Continues Expansion Through Franchise Growth to South Texas | | Alvie Britton, after graduating from University of Texas at Austin in 1982, joined his family in operating two family owned businesses in McAllen, Texas. In 1999, he ventured into the restaurant industry and opened his first of 5 Denny’s locations. His original location was the highest volume store in the central United States for several years. In December of 2013, Alvie sold the franchise, and with 15 years of experience in the restaurant industry, he began looking for his next investment. Alvie’s
introduction to Cowboy Chicken was during a business trip to Dallas, TX.
He stated that the moment he experienced Cowboy Chicken, he knew this unique
concept would be a great fit for South Texas. “The closest thing McAllen
has to Cowboy Chicken can only be found in a grocery store, under a heat
lamp. There is a direct need for something besides fried chicken in our
area. Cowboy Chicken offers a new and unique twist, without being in direct
competition with the other chicken chains. The real wood fire concept is
something no one else is doing”, stated Britton.
Britton plans to begin his development with a location in McAllen, Texas, the hub of the Rio Grande Valley. His future plans are to expand into Brownsville and Corpus Christi. Britton is a life-time resident of McAllen and an active member of the Chamber and Rotary Club. His goal, as a community driven business owner, is to create lasting relationships and bring a fast, healthy dining alternative to the residents of South Texas. In an interview Britton stated that his number one goal is overall excellence in everything he does! Striving for excellence in everything from customer service to clean restrooms is the key to a successful restaurant. Sean Kennedy, Cowboy Chicken President says, “Welcoming franchise owners like Alvie into the Cowboy Chicken family brings me great pleasure. His knowledge and experience as a restaurant owner/operator will play a key role in successfully growing the Cowboy Chicken brand and keeping our guest the number one priority.” For Cowboy Chicken franchise information, please visit: www.CowboyChickenFranchise.com.
