York Breeders’ Futurity at Finger
Lakes Gaming & Racetrack (FLGR) on Saturday (September 30). The
talented colt took the rich stake for New York-bred 2-year-olds in a final
six furlong time of 1:12.73.
The $204,625 earner owned
by Repole Stables rallied past his rivals to earn the neck triumph. He
was guided to the victory by Christopher DeCarlo.
The Todd Pletcher-trainee
registered his second win in his fifth career start and paid $7.40, $4.20
and $2.70. Mr. Pete was second and returned $3.90 and $2.50. Collective
Effort was third and paid $3.30.
Arctic Queen
The 19th running of the
$50,000 Arctic Queen Stakes is the next big race on the 2017 FLGR stakes
calendar. Eight older New York-bred fillies and mares are entered in the
six furlong dash scheduled for Monday, October 2 at FLGR.
She’s All Ready is the 3-1
program choice for the annual sprint. The James Ryerson-trainee will be
under the direction of jockey Harry Hernandez.
