Englehart recorded the 1000th win of his training career at Finger
Lakes Gaming & Racetrack (FLGR) on Wednesday (November 2). He reached
the milestone when West Sedona scored a four and three-quarter length victory
in the seventh race.
Englehart began his career
in 2003. He earned his first victory with Longingtobeme at Belmont Park.
The 39-year-old local product has a total of 14 lifetime stakes victories
including five with King Kreesa. He notched his first stakes win with Hoosick
Falls in the $50,000 Susan B. Anthony at FLGR on June 17, 2007.
Englehart is the only FLGR
conditioner to record a victory in a Breeders’ Cup event. He saddled Ria
Antonia when she won the $2,000,000 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies on November
2, 2013.
Englehart registered 770
of his 1,000 victories at FLGR. He currently holds the lead in the 2016
FLGR trainer standings with 114 triumphs. His father Chris has secured
the title every year since 2003 but presently trails Jeremiah by seven
wins.
