Geneva-on-the-Lake, OH – May 2016 / Newsmaker Alert / Recognized as a top wine country inn by Gayot.com for four years in a row, The Lodge at Geneva-on-the-Lake is expanding its lakeside experience this summer with the opening of 25 new cottages in late June 2016. The cottages are a result of a unique partnership between Ashtabula County, Delaware North and the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.

About the Cottages
Located on adjacent lakefront property east of The Lodge, the two-bedroom, one bath units offer a king master bedroom and second queen bedroom. With more than 600 square feet of living space, each spacious cottage can accommodate up to six guests and includes a living room with panoramic picture windows, foldout sofa, gas fireplace, and flat screen TV. All cottages also feature a kitchenette with mini-refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher and porches with Adirondack chairs. An ADA compliant cottage is also available with accommodations for guests with accessibility needs.

Each cluster of cottages will share a community area and fire pit, serving as a perfect focal point for engaging with family and friends.

Attractions Abound
“The Lodge has helped showcase all that Ashtabula County has to offer travelers,” said Stephanie Siegel, Executive Director of the Ashtabula County Convention and Visitors Bureau. The nearby resort town of Geneva-on-the-Lake features climbing walls, water slides, miniature golf and ice cream shops and will add new attractions including a new zip line ride and rental services for kayaks, paddle boards and jet skis. The area is also known for 698-acre Geneva State Park which features multipurpose trails for hiking, biking and snowmobiling. The Lodge is also just a short drive from 18 covered bridges, including the longest and shortest in the United States.
