A New Ballroom for The Gideon Putnam
|
Saratoga Springs, NY – August 2016 / Newsmaker Alert / Renovations are under way on the 5,200 square-foot Ballroom at The Gideon Putnam in Saratoga Springs. Work is scheduled to be completed by September 3, just in time for the beginning of The Gideon Putnam’s busy season for conventions, meetings and social events. The Ballroom is the first step in a renovation plan that will touch every aspect of The Gideon Putnam over the next 18 months.

“We are excited to complete the Ballroom renovation, which will be a significant improvement for the thousands of conference and social guests that we host each year,” said Robert M. Berrey, Jr., General Manager. “The design is contemporary while maintaining the style and elegance that is synonymous with The Gideon Putnam. We are utilizing a ‘cloud’ system to give the ceiling three dimensions. The colors are rich and warm, but neutral enough to give social events a blank palette to work with. The lighting is designed to provide maximum light for conferences, but will also provide an attractive ambience for our wedding couples. Our banquet chairs have been upgraded to provide more back support and a thicker cushion, making them more comfortable for those guests who spend their day in meetings.”
