Event to take place

Cape
Canaveral, FL – September 2017 / Newsmaker Alert / This
holiday
season, the term “lift-off” will take on a whole new meaning at Kennedy
Space Center Visitor Complex. For the first time ever, the internationally
acclaimed performance group Fighting Gravity will put on a nightly
show**
during the visitor complex’s annual Holidays in Space celebration. The
group will awe crowds with the illusions they perform that seem to defy
the laws of physics.
Fighting
Gravity’s black-light illusion dance performances gained notoriety
in 2009, as third-place finalists on the popular NBC TV show, “America’s
Got Talent.” Since then the group, which originated as a fundraising idea
started by students at Virginia Tech, has been featured on stages around
the world, with acts such as Will.I.am and Jennifer Lopez.

“Fighting
Gravity performances spark the imagination and inspire wonder, which
is what we hope our guests experience with a visit to Kennedy Space Center
Visitor Complex,” said Therrin Protze, chief operating officer, Kennedy
Space Center Visitor Complex. “It’s the perfect way to light up the holiday
season at the visitor complex. We are always challenging ourselves to find
new ways to create memorable experiences and this innovative entertainment
will bring our holiday offerings to a whole new level.”
With
their unique blend of mysterious illusions and electrifying dances, Fighting
Gravity will dazzle guests nightly from December 20, 2017 through December
31, 2017, with the exception of December 25. The performances are included
with admission to Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex.
Guests
can also take advantage of space-themed holiday shopping at gift shops
throughout the visitor complex, and enjoy seasonal treats at many convenient
eateries. In addition, the visitor complex will also be adorned for the
holidays with a stunning array of decorations, including a 35-foot-tall
holiday mosaic tree, illuminated shooting stars and the NASA insignia “dressed
up” for the season.
