Putnam Resort announce the appointment of Robert M. Berrey Jr. as the
new general manager at the iconic Saratoga Springs, N.Y., destination.

In
his role, Berrey will oversee all operations for the Gideon Putnam Resort,
which include but are not limited to staffing, budgeting and financial
management, implementing and enforcing company objectives and goals, project
management, public relations, labor relations, and many additional responsibilities
for the historic hotel located in Saratoga Spa State Park, N.Y. Berrey
plans to take the Gideon Putnam Resort and Spa into a new and exciting
direction by improving guest and employee satisfaction while maintaining
the values of Delaware North.
Berrey brings over 25 years
of executive level hospitality experience in operations and management
to The Gideon Putnam Resort and Spa. He held the same position at Delaware
North Companies’ Skyland Resort in Shenandoah National Park, V.A., Bear
Lake Reserve in Tuckasegee, N.C., and Canyon of the Eagles Lodge in Burnet,
T.X. Previously, he served as Director of Operations at the Balsam Mountain
Preserve Resort and River Rock Resort in North Carolina.
Having spent a number of
years in the resort industry in the ski areas of Vermont, Robert is thrilled
to return to the north east.
