Arlington,
TX – June 2014 / Newsmaker Alert / Delaware
North Companies Sportservice – the food, beverage and retail partner
of the Texas Rangers at Globe Life Park in Arlington, Texas – announce
six midseason additions to its concessions lineup, bolstering its already
robust lineup of popular concessions.
"We
strive to keep our menu fresh and exciting for guests all season long,"
said Casey Rapp, Sportservice operations manager at Globe Life Park. "We
want guests to always have a new favorite to look forward to trying. By
rolling out the new menu items, we're providing every guest with a fun,
new food experience."
The
six new menu items for Summer 2014 are:
-
Texas
Poutine Potato Chip Nachos (Poutine Nachos) are a Texas twist on the
popular Canadian-based poutine. Homemade potato chips are fried fresh,
then topped with Texas-style cream gravy, bacon, shredded cheddar cheese
and a choice of brisket or southwestern-style chicken. Poutine Nachos are
finished with jalapenos on top, and available at the Chipper in Section
32.
-
Bacon
Waffle on a Stick is new way to eat bacon. Building on the popularity
of the original "Bacon on a Stick," this bacon item is coated in waffle
batter and baked. The bacon waffle may be dipped in maple syrup or topped
with chocolate syrup and whipped cream. It is available at the Homeplate
Butcher Block in section 24.
-
Kaboom
Kabob follows a long tradition of "big" items at Globe Life Park, including
the "Boomstick," "Beltre Buster" and "Choomungus." The Kaboom Kabob is
a 24-inch long kabob of chicken and seasonal veggies. It is available at
stand "24" in section 27.
-
The Tanaco
"Nacho Average Taco" is another larger-than-life creation from Texas
Sportservice. A 24-inch long taco shell is made fresh at the ballpark and
filled with one foot of seasoned ground beef and another foot of seasoned
chicken. It is topped with shredded lettuce, nacho cheese, pico de gallo,
sliced jalapeños and sour cream. It is available at home plate in
the Casa De Fuego outlet.
-
Retro
Hot Dog Cart is nostalgic nod to the humble start to baseball's food
concessions. A vendor dressed in the part in white pants, a white button-up
shirt, a red bowtie, a red apron and a red news boy-style hat will serve
hot dogs and add all of the fixings such as ketchup, mustard and toppings.
Hot dogs may be served with Coca-Cola in a retro aluminum bottle. The hot
dog car will be available on the main concourse.
-
Korean
Bulgogi Beef Sandwich highlights Korean-American heritage night July
11th at the ballpark. The sandwich consists of grilled, marinated Bulgogi
beef. It is topped with Spicy Slaw and cucumber slices and served on a
pita wrap. It may be served with a South Korean beer, Hite. Hite beer will
available in sections 11, 17, 39, 46, and 325. The Korean Bulgogi Beef
Sandwich is available in section 17 in Centerfield.
