Adventurous guests can reach for the stars when the Perseid Meteor Shower puts on its annual show this August. Available with any stay from August 11 through 13, Tenaya’s $99 Perseid Meteor Shower add-on will give guests the opportunity to join an exclusive viewing party at Glacier Point in Yosemite National Park on August 12. When a full day of summer fun calls for a bit of relaxation, Tenaya’s grounds feature three outdoor pools. In addition to a main pool and splash pool just for kids, the resort recently opened an adults-only pool for a serene wading experience. Each location is central to private cabanas and food & drink service from the Bearfoot Bar, so kicking back couldn’t be easier. As the sun sets on Tenaya, guests can take a short stroll over crunching pine needles, through towering Sugar Pines and fragrant Incense Cedars and toward the sounds and smells of a lively outdoor dinner to the lodge’s Summerdale BBQ. This beloved summertime tradition gives hungry attendees a peek into the days of the Old West with live entertainment, s’mores around a roaring campfire and classic BBQ dishes with special Tenaya twists like Blackberry BBQ Chicken, High Country Potato Salad, Gold Panning Chili and Cowboy Coffee.
