Estes Park, CO &
Buffalo, NY – April 2017 / Newsmaker Alert / Delaware
North, one of the largest privately held hospitality and food service
companies in the world, announces it has rebranded the former Rocky Mountain
Park Inn in Estes Park, Colo., as The
Ridgeline Hotel Estes Park, in conjunction with a $6 million interior
overhaul.
The property, which Delaware North acquired in November 2016, is scheduled to reopen May 15. It’s located a few miles from both the Beaver Meadows and Fall River entrance stations to Rocky Mountain National Park. The
Ridgeline Hotel’s new rustically modern design features an open layout,
creating a contemporary gathering space where guests can enjoy a relaxing
getaway complete with refined amenities. As part of the nearly completed
six-month project, the hotel design team completely updated the signature
restaurant, lobby, guest rooms and indoor heated pool and hot tub. Brand
new additions to the property include a state-of-the-art fitness center,
gaming area and lobby elevator for easier room access.
When guests enter the newly redesigned lobby, they are enveloped in relaxed contemporary design. An approachable environment has been created through the use of natural woods; warm, textured fabrics; and locally-inspired works of art. All 147 guest rooms feature modern furniture in light bleached woods, plush seating, airy drapery, sleek new wall-mounted televisions, contemporary artwork and soft lighting. The hotel’s newly renovated restaurant and bar, Latitude 105 Alehouse, is scheduled to reopen in early May under new executive chef Jacob Tew, a certified chef de cuisine. Tew and his team will serve up a variety of dishes – including craft burgers, shared plates and salads – in a sophisticated mountain ambiance. The restaurant will also feature 12 types of beer on tap from regional breweries. “Delaware North is proud of this investment in creating what is essentially a new hotel in The Ridgeline Hotel Estes Park,” said Scott Socha, president of Delaware North’s parks and resorts business. “We are thrilled to be reopening the property’s doors to guests so they can enjoy a premier lodging experience while exploring Rocky Mountain National Park.” The company will also integrate its core business systems and processes, including its highly regarded customer service program, GuestPath®, and its environmental management program, GreenPath®, into the hotel’s operations. The Ridgeline Hotel at Estes Park also features more than 10,000 square feet of conference, meeting and banquet space that can accommodate up to 1,000 guests and is attached to The Estes Park Conference Center, providing additional space for even larger events. Delaware North also owns and operates Trendz at the Park -- a nearly 5,000-square-foot retail store located at the intersection of E. Elkhorn Avenue and Moraine Avenue, in the heart of downtown Estes Park. The store offers high-end home goods and gifts. Rocky Mountain National Park is the nation’s third most visited national park, drawing more than four million visitors annually. Estes Park is the primary gateway community to the park, with 80 percent of the park’s visitors traveling through its entrance gates. The park stretches more than 415 square miles, encompassing spectacular mountain environments and more than 300 miles of hiking trails, wildflowers and wildlife. With the addition of The Ridgeline Hotel Estes Park, Delaware North now owns and/or operates more than 30 lodging properties throughout the United States and in Australia.
