Buffalo, NY & Austin,
TX – May 2018 / Newsmaker Alert / Delaware
North, one of the largest privately held hospitality companies in the
world, has announced the opening of three new restaurants at Austin-Bergstrom
International Airport (AUS). Two Austin-born brands, The Peached Tortilla
and JuiceLand, and the new Hippies & Hops, are now serving
travelers in the Barbara Jordan Terminal.
“Austin
has a very distinctive presence and much of that stems from the city’s
food culture,” said Kevin Kelly, president of Delaware North’s travel division.
“These new dining options are an authentic taste of what many have come
to love about the city and we are proud to offer Austin-born concepts to
everyone who travels through AUS.”
View Larger Image The Peached Tortilla, which was founded as a food truck in Austin in 2010, serves Asian-Southern inspired cuisine, with popular menu items including a rendition of chow fun (Southern Fun), Malaysian laksa, charred brussels and pork belly buns. JuiceLand, also founded in Austin, is a popular juicery concept that has grown throughout the region since its founding in 2001. It offers a wide variety of fruit and vegetable smoothies, juices and cold-pressed juice bottles, juice shots, cleanses and hot drinks. It also serves a menu of plant-based and vegan grab-and-go meals, including salads, wraps and snacks. Hippies & Hops is a new bar concept that features local beers from Live Oak Brewing Company and other popular beer brands. Live Oak Brewing has been a staple for Austin beer lovers since 1997 with its delicious lagers and ales brewed with old-world brewing styles. The openings are part of the ongoing dining transformation at AUS in the newly renovated east food park of the terminal. Delaware North has previously opened a variety of restaurants at the airport, including I VINI, and expanded versions of other Austin favorites Salt Lick BBQ and Annie’s Café. About
