Delaware North Donates $100,000 to
Assist Florida Hurricane Victims

Buffalo, NY – October 2017 / Newsmaker Alert / Delaware North, a global hospitality company, announced Wednesday (October 25) a $100,000 donation to assist communities throughout Florida damaged by Hurricane Irma.

“We are deeply saddened by the losses suffered by our friends and colleagues in Florida in the wake of Hurricane Irma. We hope for a fast and thorough recovery, and we stand ready to assist in those efforts,” said Jerry Jacobs Jr., Co-CEO.

The privately-owned company operates diverse businesses across the state, providing food, beverage, retail and other visitor services. Delaware North has operated in Florida for many decades.

Among Delaware North’s operating locations in the state:

  • Brevard County – Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, which Delaware North operates for NASA
  • Ft. Lauderdale – Restaurants at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport
  • Tampa – Restaurants at Tampa International Airport and food and retail services at Amalie Arena, home of the Tampa Bay Lightning
  • Jacksonville – Food services at EverBank Field, home of the Jacksonville Jaguars
  • Orlando – Restaurants operated by Delaware North’s Patina Restaurant Group in Disney Springs and Walt Disney World
  • Volusia County – Daytona Beach Racing & Card Club and Orange City Racing & Card Club, both owned and operated by Delaware North
Delaware North will be donating $75,000 of the funds to the Salvation Army of Florida to provide assistance in the areas most in need in the communities where we operate. The other $25,000 is being donated to the Brevard Sharing Centers as part of a total donation of $30,000 from Delaware North’s operation at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex.
