Opening Marks First Location in North Carolina for Celebrated Daytime Café

Raleigh, NC – September 2014 / Newsmaker Alert / The Tar Heel state’s first First Watch restaurant will open in Raleigh on September 29. The new restaurant – located at 6109 Glenwood Avenue in a 3,300 square foot, free-standing building that formerly housed a Boston Market – will feature First Watch’s award-winning Breakfast, Brunch and Lunch menu and exceptional customer service.

Guests to the new restaurant will note an interior design that combines a blend of “Urban” and “Farm” elements while maximizing natural light during the restaurant’s daytime only hours. It also features an open-kitchen concept which reinforces First Watch’s honest approach to food preparation with seating for 106 inside including a community table and a welcoming outdoor covered patio.

First Watch is a recipient of more than 200 “Best Of” accolades in markets across the country and takes freshness to heart offering 100% fresh-squeezed orange juice, cage free eggs, granola and salsa made in-house daily, house-roasted vegetables and locally sourced produce whenever possible. The menu features traditional favorites presented in an elevated style including pancakes, omelets, salads and sandwiches as well as signature specialties such as the Chickichanga, Quinoa Power Bowl, French Toast Monte Cristo and seasonal specials along with its proprietary Sunrise Select Premium Coffee made from slow-roasted, hand-selected, high-grown coffee beans from mountains across North, Central and South America. All items are freshly prepared to order without the use of deep fryers, heat lamps or microwaves.

The new restaurant is being opened by local resident and franchisee Bob Frame as part of an agreement to open five restaurants over the next four years in the Raleigh-Durham area. Frame has more than 20 years’ experience in the restaurant industry and was most recently the COO of Apple Gold, an Applebee’s franchisee with more than 130 restaurants in six states. He also held executive-level operations positions with Longhorn Steakhouse and Waffle House.

“We are excited about bringing First Watch to the Raleigh area and believe that Breakfast, Brunch and Lunch enthusiasts will quickly point to us as their new ‘go-to’ spot,” said Frame.
