This
is FootGolf Magazine Summer Edition
|
Palm
Springs, CA – September 2015 / Newsmaker Alert / This is FootGolf
Magazine, the official magazine of the American
FootGolf League (AFGL) and over 430 affiliated courses, proudly releases
its summer issue: www.ThisisFootGolf.com.
“FootGolf
might be the fastest growing sport in the U.S., and This is FootGolf
clearly illustrates this,” says editor Harvey Silverman. “This issue covers
two more pro-am events, one at Meadow Park in Tacoma and the other at Haggin
Oaks in Sacramento - over $35,000 in prize money was won. Nearly $100,000
in prize money has been won in six pro-am events over 11 months. World
class players are competing, and developing a following across the globe
that we see on Facebook.”
Silverman
continues, “The pictures, videos, and content you’ll see are bright and
colorful, thanks to our creative director Juan Fernandez and our contributors.
Stories include: golf industry veteran Mike Galeski’s “Why I Love Footgolf”;
pictures, videos, and results from the two recent pro-am events; a profile
of former MLS player and now FootGolf champion Julian Nash; a heartwarming
thank you from a top Argentine footgolfer; the first documented women’s
competitive playoff, a personal interview with AFGL founder Roberto Balestrini;
and more (there is so much to write about).”
Over
50 AFGL courses are included in This is FootGolf’s custom-branding program,
and have received their customized issue to distribute to their own customers.
“Our digital format enables us to insert a full-page ad and front cover
brand image for any AFGL facility, like this: (link),” says Silverman.
“It is the best way to promote the growing national and international sport
of FootGolf played at that course.”
The
AFGL moves on to Chicago’s Sydney Marovitz Golf Course, managed by Billy
Casper Golf, for the first annual U.S. FootGolf National Championship on
October 3. This is a 36-hole event, 18 in the morning followed by 18 in
the afternoon. Registrations are pouring in from around the world and will
fill soon. The results and pictures will be featured in the fall edition
of This is FootGolf Magazine.
