Two
new early- and late-season specialty trips, available May 31 – June 26
and again Aug. 23 – Sept. 7, give riders more leisurely time on the river
than typical tours. Recommended for ages 6 and older, the Snake River
Half-Day Tours (5 hours door-to-door) and Snake River Full-Day Tours
(8 hours door-to-door) take the classic Snake River whitewater trip and
pause for a Dutch Oven chili lunch at Mad River’s exclusive Blind Canyon
river access. The chili comes with cornbread, Dutch Oven cobbler for dessert
and hot and cold beverages. Vegetarian guests may be accommodated with
advance notice. The relaxing time spent riverside on this adventure sets
it apart from all other Mad River trips—guests can read a book, play outdoor
games, roast marshmallows or simply unwind while waiting for lunch to be
served. The full-day trip launches at 8:30 a.m. daily and costs $99 per
adult and $79 per child; the half-day trip launches at 10:30 a.m. daily
and costs $89 per adult and $79 per child. Check in is required 30 minutes
in advance of launch time.
