Historic golf destination recognized for its public relations and video marketing efforts
|
French Lick, IN – February 2016 / Newsmaker Alert / French Lick Resort, the historic golf resort destination located in southern Indiana, was recognized at the 23rd Annual International Network of Golf (ING) Industry Honors press conference last week at the 63rd PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, FL.

ING presented French Lick Resort with the “Promotion/Public Relations Event or Campaign” award, which recognizes an organization that has created a unique concept, idea event, campaign to promote or publicize a company, individual, product, service, special event, golf course, resort, etc.

The resort was honored for its work on The Legends Championship presented by Old National Bank at The Pete Dye Course. Efforts during championship week included shooting over 30 hours of video, editing and distributing 15 turn-key news pieces, conducting 32 interviews of players and supporters of the Championship and hosting 13 hours of live radio. The result: Over 300 news stories with over 800 million media impressions.

French Lick was also presented with the “Video Marketing” award, which recognizes an individual, company or agency that has created an innovative online video used for a product demo, informational content, advertising, promotion or social media strategy. The resort was recognized for its more than 30 hours of video and distribution of that video through television, online and social media channels.

“It is an honor to be recognized by the industry and the International Network of Golf for our efforts to promote a great event that benefits an even greater cause with Riley’s Children’s Hospital,” said Brendan Sweeney, Director of Media Relations at French Lick Resort. “To receive two of these awards is a testament to the entire team that worked on both projects.”

French Lick employees recognized for their work in the project included Pat Clark, Dyan Duncan, Tessa Higgs, Ian McSpadden and Steve Rondinaro.
