Overland
Park, KS – March 2015 / Newsmaker Alert / Global
Connections, Inc. (GCI) has rechristened its recent acquisition, Skier’s
Edge Lodge (Breckenridge, CO), to Lodge
By The Blue. According to GCI’s CEO and President, Tom Lyons, “This
wonderful retreat in the Rocky Mountains is right on the Blue River and
our new name reflects that.”
|
The
new Lodge By The Blue is strategically located 5.5.miles south of Breckenridge
at the base of magnificent Mount Quandary, and within an hour of eight
ski resort areas: Breckenridge, Keystone, A-Basin, Copper Mountain, Loveland,
Ski Cooper, Vail and Beaver Creek. The famous Continental Divide is only
three miles away. Says CEO Lyons, “The Lodge is a family resort, located
in the heart of some of the best skiing in Colorado and perfect for families
looking for a convenient, affordable location in the Rockies.”
Guests
at Global Connections’ new Breckenridge property will enjoy newly renovated
accommodations and common areas.
Global
Connections has completely renovated the two story lobby including the
addition of all new distressed wood flooring. The addition of antique-style
gas lantern wall scones and a multi-tiered elk antler chandelier enhances
the ski chalet atmosphere as does the authentic Navajo rug laid in front
of the vintage open-faced stone fireplace with an Elk trophy mount.
The
lobby walls have been redecorated with teal and jute, and the après
ski wine bar now sports granite counter tops. In addition, GCI has created
a game and book lending library for guests as well as a convenience mart
with sundries, snacks and outdoor supplies.
Guests
can choose from a number of spacious room sizes from suites to one-two
bedrooms, and studios. The resort features include a heated indoor swimming
pool, 10-person hot tub, and fitness center. The gigantic stone fireplace
in the center of the lobby is a popular place for relaxing after a strenuous
day on the slopes.
GCI
has launched www.LodgeByTheBlue.com
