Grand Pacific Resorts, a longtime supporter of Christel House International, hosts an annual fundraiser where they raise over $50,000 to help #DriveOutPoverty. This year, Grand Pacific Resorts shared their commitment to corporate social responsibility with two graduate interns from Christel House where they helped host Putt-Putt for Charity mini-golf tournament to help inspire guests and owners to donate to an organization dedicated to giving children in need the education and tools to create bright future for themselves, their families, and their communities. Interns, Charley and Zicri, have attended the Christel House Academy in Indiana from first grade through senior year in high school where they developed literacy and numeracy skills and guidance with college applications. Charley worked with AmeriCorps where she helped teenagers get back into high school before she began attending Indiana University to study non-profit management, and Zicri is majoring in Marketing/Tourism at Indiana University-Purdue where during her internship with Grand Pacific Resorts she can focus on event planning and the guest experience. “It’s been a pleasure getting to know such impressive young women, and having the opportunity to show them social responsibility in action,” says Renee Wagner, Director of Creative Services & Brand Management for Grand Pacific Resorts. “Charley and Zicri have been a great help, and we’re excited to have them attend the upcoming Christel House Open.” For a second year, Grand Pacific Resorts has the support of the ABC network affiliate in San Diego, 10News, as a media sponsor to help raise awareness for the upcoming 16th RCI Christel house Open on Monday, June 11 at Shadowridge Country Club in Vista, California. Join Grand Pacific Resorts and Christel House graduates for Christel House’s signature fundraiser with the mission of “driving out poverty.” Register to play a round of golf for a great cause, or donate to Christel House International.
