Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Event

Walk at Tampa’s Amalie Arena on October 28

Tampa, FL – October 2017 / Newsmaker Alert / Lazydays, The RV Authority and world’s largest RV dealership, is proud to sponsor the American Cancer Society’s upcoming Tampa Bay Making Strides Against Breast Cancer fundraising event. As a supporting contributor, Lazydays RV is sponsoring the event stage for the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Hillsborough Walk at Amalie Arena in Tampa on Saturday, October 28, 2017. Last year’s Tampa Bay event had over 22,000 participants and raised over $800,000.

“This is our second year as a sponsor of the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer fundraising event, and we couldn’t be more proud to support this worthy cause,” said John Lebbad, Lazydays Chief Marketing Officer and Chair of the Tampa Bay Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Event. “All of us at Lazydays RV are committed to raising awareness and funds to help fight the battle against breast cancer. We hope our involvement in this event will help make a meaningful difference in the lives of those who are impacted by breast cancer.”

The Lazydays-sponsored arena plaza main stage will host the event’s opening ceremony, as well as music and dancing with a live DJ and other family-fun activities. Lazydays RV will also have a 36-foot Class A motorhome on display and open for browsing. Participants can sign up for the walk at the Lazydays display and purchase commemorative items from the adjacent Making Strides Against Breast Cancer store.

In addition to its role as main stage sponsor, Lazydays RV is sponsoring a team of participants at the event. Lazydays will be donating over $14,000 for the Tampa walk. Lazydays RV has also contributed to the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer silent auction, donating a four-day RV camping getaway at the Lazydays RV Resort.

About Making Strides Against Breast Cancer
The American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walks raise awareness and funds to save lives from breast cancer. Each event is a noncompetitive 3 to 5 mile walk that brings people together to make a difference for everyone who has been touched by breast cancer. The events raise money to fund innovative research, provide free information and support, and to help people reduce their breast cancer risk or find it early when it’s most treatable.
