Tampa, FL – December 2017 / Newsmaker Alert / The Lazydays Employee Foundation Tucson chapter recently awarded $18,000 in donations to five non-profit organizations that provide services to local children in need. Foundation members presented the donations to representatives of each charitable program during a ceremony hosted by Lazydays RV Tucson on November 22, 2017.

This year’s donations were distributed among the following organizations:

  • Tucson Fire Fighters Association – Funds will support the association’s annual Adopt-a-Family program, which provides food and gifts to local families in need.
  • Youth on Their Own – The donation will help equip Tucson’s homeless teens with the necessary resources to complete their education and graduate from high school.
  • Kamp for Disadvantaged Kids – Contributions will enable underprivileged children to attend sleep-away camp.
  • Enhancing Education – The donation will help provide educational support, hearing aids, eyeglasses and other services to disadvantaged students in Tucson.
  • The Children’s Book Bonanza – Funds will be used to purchase age-appropriate books for children living in poverty to support reading skills and education.
The Lazydays Employee Foundation is a registered non-profit organization operated exclusively by employees of Lazydays RV, who contribute funds for charitable efforts through voluntary payroll deductions. The Arizona chapter was established when Lazydays opened its Tucson RV dealership in 2011; today, more than 86% of Lazydays Tucson employees contribute to the foundation.

“I am proud to be part of an organization that is dedicated to helping at-risk youth in Tucson, where 1 in 5 children are living in poverty,” said Jon Gold, president of the Lazydays Employee Foundation Tucson chapter. “Together, our members are able do so much more for our community than any of us could do alone. Including our latest donation to these five worthy charities, we plan to contribute more than $20,000 to support local children in need this season.”
