“Our location at the intersection of two major highways allows us to serve residents passing by, as well as a large number of professional truck drivers and leisure travelers using the roads,” said Tom Love, founder and executive chairman of Love’s. “We’re happy to open in a new area of Iowa and we look forward to providing the ‘Clean Places, Friendly Faces’ Love’s is known for to Waterloo.” The 11,000 square foot facility is open 24/7. It features a Wendy’s restaurant, laundry capabilities, a game room, gourmet coffee, fountain drinks, gift items, name-brand snacks and more. The store also offers services for professional drivers, including 65 truck parking spaces, five showers and a Love’s Truck Tire Care center. The Waterloo Love’s marks the company’s eighth location in Iowa and the second to open in the state in as many weeks. A new Love’s Travel Stop opened in Mills County last week. In celebration of the new store, Love’s will hold a ribbon cutting in conjunction with the Cedar Valley Alliance & Chamber of Commerce at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 21. During the ceremony, Love’s will present a $2,000 donation to a local nonprofit. About
