Partnership Allows Meeting Planners and Suppliers to Earn
Credits Toward IAEE’s Professional Certification Program

Los Angeles, CA – June 2015 / Newsmaker Alert / The International Association of Exhibitions and Events has partnered with the Meetings Quest trade show, which will be held July 22–23 at the Oakland Convention Center in Oakland, California, to provide its professional certification training. Presented by Association News magazine and hosted by Visit Oakland, Meetings Quest is America’s longest-running series of educational and networking events for association, corporate, government and religious meeting planners.

“We are pleased to continue our partnership with IAEE, a trusted and valuable resource in the exhibitions and events industry,” said Timothy Schneider, president and CEO of Schneider Publishing, which publishes Association News and organizes Meetings Quest.

On July 22, Meetings Quest attendees will be able to earn credits toward IAEE’s professional certification program, which leads to the Certified in Exhibition Management (CEM) designation. The day-long program will be administered by IAEE and taught by CEM commission–approved faculty. The CEM designation was created in 1975 to raise professional standards in the exhibition industry and is recognized as the premier mark of professional achievement for those who manage and host trade shows.

“This exclusive CEM session in Oakland will focus on floor-plan development, and we invite both current and prospective members of IAEE to take advantage of this unique opportunity as a means of obtaining the distinguished CEM accreditation,” said Schneider.

Meetings Quest is organized by Los Angeles–based Schneider Publishing, publishers of SportsTravel and Association News magazines and organizers of the TEAMS Conference & Expo. The group travel markets served by Schneider Publishing generate 106 million hotel room nights annually. Meetings Quest has been held in Mesa, Arizona; Cabarrus County, North Carolina; and Providence, Rhode Island. Meetings Quest shows will be held in Bloomington, Minnesota, in spring of 2016.
