City Beach, FL – March 2014 / Newsmaker Alert / In conjunction with
its official national launch, the newly formed Onsite
Property Management Association (OPMA) is pleased to announce the appointment
of longtime industry expert Rick Fisher as the association’s executive
director. Considered one of the original pioneers and evangelists for the
vacation rental lodging sector, Rick will be primarily responsible for
membership procurement and growth, new member benefit programs and assisting
in public awareness and media efforts to share knowledge of OPMA with rental
guests, owners, on-site managers and suppliers.
According
to Paul Wohlford, president of OPMA, “We are extremely excited to have
Rick on board as a key member of our management team. Rick brings to OPMA
tremendous passion and travel experience coupled with an extensive network
of meaningful industry contacts. His primary focus has always been on the
consumer and Rick has developed a reputation of staying ahead of the marketplace
and creating innovative programs and marketing initiatives that consistently
benefit the companies and organizations he has represented.”
A significant
advantage the OPMA managers enjoy is having a physical and visible presence
at their resort property locations. Fisher believes this scenario presents
a tremendous advantage for on-site managers and suppliers alike. “Our members
at OPMA are not only well positioned to assist guests and owners with their
rental accommodations, but, more importantly, to assist them with their
entire rental experience,” he said. “We look forward to introducing marketing
programs and initiatives that can help on-site property managers meet and
exceed all the travel planning needs of their customers, from initial planning
to post-departure.”
