| Ovation® Brands Promotes Patrick Benson to Chief Information Officer | Development of leadership signals the brand’s focus on innovation | “Throughout Patrick’s career, he has built a reputation for delivering innovative IT solutions,” said Anthony Wedo, CEO for Ovation Brands. “In his new role as CIO, he will work hand in hand with teams across Ovation Brands to deliver top-notch information systems solutions for the company that will allow us to maintain a competitive edge.” Since joining Ovation, Benson has developed an enterprise-wide business application and infrastructure roadmap that includes the following key projects: transformation of Ovation’s headquarters systems leveraging Oracle ERP Cloud solutions; upgrading the entire Point-of-Sale environment through MICROS Simphony Point of Sale, iCare Loyalty, Mobile POS, and enhanced PCI Security; and restaurant food production, team management and supply chain solutions powered by CrunchTime Information Systems. He will continue to cultivate these programs in his new role. “The new systems that we have incorporated at Ovation enable our management and staff to spend more time focusing on the business and guest experience,” said Benson. “These new solutions provide our enterprise with the enhanced technology and control needed to better operate our business.” Benson’s career as an Information Technology Executive spans world-class consumer product and retail organizations, including multiple senior IT roles across the PepsiCo global business, as CIO of Lighthouse International in New York City, as Americas Vice-President for Cadbury, and as Vice-President of Enterprise IT for Supervalu in Minneapolis. In addition to his requisite technology skills, Benson possesses a deep business, operations, and consumer focus to delivering IT solutions. Benson
will be presenting on behalf of Ovation at the 2014 Oracle OpenWorld conference
in San Francisco, CA. This multi-day event is one of the most prestigious
gatherings for cutting edge technology in the country.
