Talent Competition Finals on June 16

Twelve contestants selected from three audition cities will compete for the
grand champion title during a free show at Smoky Mountain Opry.

Pigeon Forge, TN – June 2018 / Newsmaker Alert / Pigeon Forge hosts the Path to Fame Talent Competition Finals at Smoky Mountain Opry (2046 Parkway, Pigeon Forge, TN 37863) on Saturday, June 16. The free show starts at 10 a.m. and will be open to the public on a first-come, first-served basis.

Twelve semi-finalists vying to be named grand champion will perform in front of a diverse panel of judges: John Alexander, Nashville-based talent executive, Michael Headla, entertainment director for Fee/Hedrick Family Entertainment, and Jeff Taylor, general manager for Country Tonite Theatre. Four semi-finalists were selected from each audition city; Cincinnati on April 14, Nashville on April 21 and Atlanta on May 12.

The four semi-finalists from Ohio are:

  • Taylor Deaton from Springboro;
  • Sheila Gardner from Fairfield;
  • duo Michaela Back from Mason and Aaron Cramer from Cincinnati;
  • male trio BL3SSED from Cincinnati.
The four semi-finalists from Tennessee are:
  • Brenna Beatty from Springfield;
  • Alaya Morris from Nashville;
  • duo Ashley Tragler and Christian Simcox from Bristol;
  • family trio Sheridan Hill from Mt. Juliet.
The four semi-finalists from Georgia are:
  • Jadyn Williams from Tallapoosa;
  • Sara Kays from Avondale Estates;
  • Isaac Streetman from Aragon;
  • Morgan Shaw from Euharlee.
“Whether they are repeat visitors or first-timers, each Path to Fame contestant expressed enthusiasm to perform at one of Pigeon Forge’s renowned theaters,” said Leon Downey, executive director of the Pigeon Forge Department of Tourism. “Spectacular shows are the pulse of the Pigeon Forge Parkway and create an everlasting impact on our visitors. Our Path to Fame talent competition recognizes the Pigeon Forge theater community and brings this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to the semi-finalists looking to launch their own paths to fame.”

Alexander will focus on artist development with the grand champion, including career development consultations with Grammy-nominated, platinum-selling country star Kelsea Ballerini and other entertainment executives representing all aspects of the entertainment industry. Alexander discovered Ballerini, spent over a decade at Great American Country television network, managed artists such as Patty Loveless and is co-founder of the Nashville-based artist development company Bandtwango.
