Edge Casino Resort Opens New Comedy Club

Edge Casino Resort announces that it is opening Sunset
Comedy Club, which will hold its first show on Thursday, June 2. The
new venue will seat approximately 200 guests in an intimate setting with
a bar and cocktail tables. The Sunset Comedy Club will feature headliners
that have appeared on late night television, HBO, Comedy Central,
“Last Comic Standing,” “America’s Got Talent,” and other national shows.
Each performance will start at 7 p.m. and last approximately 70 minutes
with an opening act and a headliner.
“Every
seat in the venue has a great view of the comedians. It really is a great
place to have a laugh with someone special at a table for two or celebrate
a birthday with a table for six or more,” said Barry Joannide, general
manager, Prairie’s Edge Casino Resort. “These shows will appeal to adults
of all ages.”
Issac
Witty, who is a nationally known headlining comedian, will open the Sunset
Comedy Club on Thursday, June 2 at 7 p.m. Witty has performed on stages
and comedy festivals across the nation and has appeared on “Late Night
with David Letterman” and “Conan.”
On
Thursday, June 16, Jeff Gerbino, who has appeared on “Good Morning America,”
will perform at 7 p.m. Minneapolis native “Fancy” Ray McCloney will perform
on Thursday, July 7. McCloney is the self-proclaimed “Best Looking Man
in Comedy” and ran against Jesse Ventura for governor of Minnesota.
Tickets
