show “Benise - The Spanish Guitar” features guitarist Roni Benise with
a band of musicians and dancers, pushing the boundaries of traditional
Spanish/Flamenco music. The show includes rapid-fire Spanish flamenco,
Brazilian samba and Cuban salsa. Spanish-inspired theatrics fill the
Festa
de Espana courtyard outside the theater, with costumed entertainers,
living statues portraying iconic figures from Christopher Columbus to Don
Quixote, and living puppet “marionetas.”
Additional shows include “Amamos Argentina,” starring the Los Pampas Gauchos who perform with bombo drums and boleros; Island Fire from Samoa and the South Sea Islands, featuring world-champion fire-knife dancers; plus musicians from Ukraine, Ecuador and Ireland. Silver Dollar City, an 1880s-style theme park in Branson, also features more than 30 rides and attractions including the groundbreaking wood coaster Outlaw Run, named ‘Best New Ride of 2013’ worldwide. Seven festivals and events are featured throughout the season, plus a demonstrating colony of 100 craftsmen showcasing America’s heritage crafts and specialty foods.
