Philadelphia, PA – November 2016 / Newsmaker Alert / SugarHouse Casino adds to its diverse lineup of standout performers by welcoming award-winning country music artist, Sara Evans, on Jan. 14, 2017. The critically-acclaimed singer will perform hits from her eight studio albums, including her most recent release “Slow Me Down” at The Event Center. Tickets for the performance go on sale Nov. 11 and prices start at $49.

Honored as a Top Female Vocalist by the Academy of Country Music Awards in 2006, Evans has been a staple in the country music industry, selling nearly six million records over the span of her career. Since her start in 1998, Evans has charted more than 20 singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts and has won awards from Billboard, the Country Music Association, the Academy of Country Music and Broadcast Music Incorporated.

“We are always looking to bring the best in entertainment to Philadelphia,” said Wendy Hamilton, general manager of SugarHouse Casino. “Sara Evans is a great addition to our growing list of exceptional performers, and it will be fun to host her at SugarHouse.”

Evans’ success includes four albums that have been certified gold, platinum or multi-platinum and she’s recorded five No. 1 hits, including “A Real Fine Place to Start,” “No Place That Far” and “A Little Bit Stronger.” She kicks off the 2017 SugarHouse entertainment schedule and is the second decorated country artist to perform at The Event Center, following Grammy® award-winning country music singer, LeAnn Rimes’ performance in March.

Tickets for Evans’ show, and all SugarHouse performances, can be purchased online at www.sugarhousecasino.com.

In addition to live performances and concerts, the SugarHouse Casino Event Center can be reserved for a variety of other occasions, including weddings, corporate receptions, seminars, trade shows and more.
