The
Lodge of Four Seasons, long regarded a major destination resort in Missouri
and the Midwest, was founded in 1964 by Harold Koplar, father of current
owner, Susan (Koplar) Brown. Set on 3,500 waterfront acres, The Lodge offers
more than 60,000 square feet of meeting space, five unique dining experiences,
four swimming pools, a full service marina and the nationally recognized
Spa Shiki. The Lodge’s incredible golf offerings include The Cove, an 18-hole,
par-71 Robert Trent Jones, Sr. design and The Ridge, an 18-hole, par-72
Ken Kavanaugh layout.
“The Lodge of Four Seasons is an extraordinary property and destination,” said Tim Schantz, president, Troon. “It is a resort and destination that is perfect for everything from group outings, small meetings and executive retreats to large family gatherings and celebrations. Our team will look to elevate The Lodge of Four Season’s profile across the region and country, while enhancing the service levels and overall experience at the resort.” In addition to The Lodge of Four Seasons, Troon also manages The Club at Porto Cima, a private facility located across the lake from The Lodge. The Club at Porto Cima features an 18-hole Jack Nicklaus Signature Design, a 17,000 square-foot clubhouse and a Yacht Club. Troon will soon be creating resort stay and play packages which feature on-property golf rounds as well as discovery round opportunities at The Club at Porto Cima. “A working partnership with Troon will be an asset to The Lodge, our guests and our employees,” said Susan Brown, owner, The Lodge of Four Seasons. “And, while each property is a separate entity, the operational synergies will be a valuable asset to both Porto Cima and The Lodge.” Troon manages a variety of high-end, luxury resorts and residence clubs around the world, including Pronghorn Resort in Bend, Oregon; The Inn at Entrada in St. George, Utah; The Rocks in Scottsdale, Ariz.; Torreon in Show Low, Ariz.; and Paradise Palms Resort in Queensland, Australia.
