To make the clinics accessible to as many people as possible, participation in most events costs $0 to $20 for adults, while juniors 17 years of age and younger are free. Clinics will run for a minimum of 60 minutes and will keep a ratio of no more than 10 students per instructor. At the conclusion of each clinic, participants will have the opportunity to continue their pursuit of the game by registering for a Get Golf Ready program, which includes five additional instructional classes starting at just $99.Player Development Month activities held at select Troon locations may also include free instructional clinics, family golf events, complimentary Callaway rental clubs during introductory rounds, nine-hole bounce back certificates for return visits, and more.

“We are thrilled to launch Troon’s Player Development Month with Get Golf Ready for a fourth consecutive year,” stated John Easterbrook, executive vice president of operations, Troon. “By making golf more accessible and inviting, this global effort continues to have a strong impact on introducing beginners to the game and encouraging participation in future Get Golf Ready classes.”

To sign up for a clinic and to view a complete list of facilities participating, visit www.TroonGolf.com/player-development.html.

Get Golf Ready has introduced the game to thousands of adults who have never played golf or who have minimal experience in the game. Overall, participants learn techniques regarding chipping, putting, full swing, half swing and bunker play, as well as the fundamental guidelines of use and maintenance of golf equipment, keeping score and navigating the course. Significant on-course learning opportunities are part of each lesson, as well as background on the game’s rules, etiquette, history and values.

Studies clearly show that playing golf is good for your health and wellness. While being outside and enjoying the sunshine and serene landscape, a golfer will have a healthier state of well-being. Playing a round of golf also burns calories and rejuvenates the mind through one of the best forms of moderate aerobic activity - walking. It is also a great way to spend time with family and friends while enjoying the outdoors. Visit www.PlayTroon.com for more information on all of Troon’s “grow the game” initiatives.
