Oneida County represents 61 percent of those sales for the eight-county Central New York Vacation Region. Each industry sectors also remained steady or increased within Oneida County, including many related to Turning Stone such as lodging, recreation, food and beverage, and retail and service. Since 1993, the Oneida Indian Nation has spent more than $2 billion on vendors, generated $155 million in income, property and sales tax revenue for the surrounding community; and now supports more than 6,100 jobs in New York State. Turning Stone hosts more than 4.5 million visitors each year at its four-season destination resort, and is one of the top five tourist destinations in the state of New York.
