Two of Turning Stone’s Golf Courses Recognized
in Golf Digest’s Ranking of America’s 100 Greatest Public Courses

Verona, NY – September 2015 / Newsmaker Alert / Two of Turning Stone Resort Casino’s finest golf courses in Central New York received critical acclaim this month from Golf Digest. The resort’s Atunyote and Kaluhyat elite golf courses were included by Golf Digest on its prestigious 2015-2016 list of America’s 100 Greatest Public Courses. Marking its highest ranking on the list to date, Atunyote moved up three spots to #52, while Kaluhyat is ranked at #82.

Dubbed by Golf Digest as the “game’s oldest ranking,” the biennial list of top 100 golf courses nationwide was launched in 1966. Eligibility for Golf Digest’s list requires golf courses to undergo at least 25 evaluations over the last eight years. Contending courses are scored by Golf Digest’s panelists who play and evaluate each course on seven distinct criteria: shot values, resistance to scoring, design variety, memorability, aesthetics, conditioning and ambiance.

“Turning Stone is proud to be honored among Golf Digest’s list of America’s 100 Greatest Public Courses, marking a four-year tradition that we hope to continue,” said Oneida Nation Representative and Nation Enterprises CEO Ray Halbritter. “Turning Stone’s Atunyote and Kaluhyat golf courses offer world-class golf experiences with superior standards and services. We congratulate the other esteemed golf courses recognized by Golf Digest and are delighted to be in such prized company.”

Recently, Turning Stone golf courses have received a number of accolades within the highly competitive golf industry. Atunyote and Kaluhyat were recognized earlier this year among the top ten courses in the state of New York by Golfweek Magazine. In late 2014, Atunyote and Kaluhyat, as well as Turning Stone’s Shenendoah course, were each honored among Golfweek’s Best Casino Courses for 2015. Turning Stone’s Atunyote, Shenendoah and the Golf SuperStore also received 2015 AGM Platinum Awards.

As Turning Stone Resort Casino continuously strives to enhance the overall golf experience for its players, the resort launched a state-of-the-art Turning Stone Golf App to coincide with the opening of golf season earlier this year. The Turning Stone Golf App is exclusively designed for the resort’s five pristine courses, and adds desirable dimensions of strategic gameplay and convenient services.

A premier, four-season destination resort, Turning Stone hosts more than 4.5 million guests a year at its sprawling 3,400 acre facility, which offers world-class gaming, golf, upscale dining and vast recreation options, including “Exit 33,” a $25 million multi-venue entertainment complex.
