Celebrate the Holiday Season at Turning Stone Resort Casino with Central New York's Best Holiday Exhibits, Performances and Fun for All AgesThis magical event also marks the opening of Turning Stone’s legendary Gingerbread Village, recognized last year by Forbes Travel Guide as one of the nine best gingerbread villages in the country. The largest in Central New York, Turning Stone’s Gingerbread Village for 2015 measures nearly 70 feet in length and includes nine towering buildings, including this year’s newest addition, a train depot with an actual moving train. Constructed from 600 pounds of gingerbread dough, the village features thousands of individual pieces of gingerbread, 100 pounds of assorted candy, and 800 pounds of icing, and 300 pounds of fondant. Turning Stone Executive Pastry Chef Dennis Miller, his team of skilled pastry chefs and culinary artists and many others from different departments spent more than 1,400 hours to design, bake and build the village. Located in Turning Stone’s Winter Garden, the Gingerbread Village is open daily throughout the holiday season following the November 23rd opening.

The holiday magic continues every weekend, with new events occurring throughout the season. Every Saturday in December leading up to Christmas, families can attend Breakfast with Santa and Mrs. Claus at Season’s Harvest from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. With special visits from Rudolph and friends, kids can have their picture taken with Santa and join in reindeer games. Carolers and Strolling Santa’s Helpers will be on hand to add to the weekend festivities, handing out holiday treats in the Gingerbread Village Saturday and Sunday afternoons, November 28 through December 20.

From November 27 through December 19, guests can also enjoy free holiday entertainment in the Winter Garden near the Gingerbread Village from 6 p.m. – 10 p.m. on Fridays and 12 p.m. – 4 p.m. on Saturdays. Performers in the Winter Garden include pianist Steve Laureti, acoustic duo Merry Mischief, Primetime Duo, and Ronnie Leigh.

Guests looking for that perfect gift can stop by “Christmas & Crafts,” Central New York’s premier holiday arts and crafts show for handcrafted, one-of-a-kind presents, located in the Event Center. Beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 12 and Sunday, December 13, guests can shop a wide variety of goods, including home accessories, designer fashions, artisan jewelry, handcrafted holiday décor, gourmet specialty foods and other unique handmade gifts. Admission is $5 for adults, $2 for kids ages 6-12 and free for kids 5 and under.

The sounds of the season are abundant at Turning Stone this holiday with stars performing their own versions of popular holiday classics. Turning Stone’s holiday performances kick off with A Swingin’ Christmas on Thursday, December 10 in the style of old-time favorites Bob Hope, Lucille Ball, the Rat Pack and more. The holiday entertainment continues with pop quartet The Tenors on Saturday, December 12, Kenny Rodgers’ annual Christmas special on Thursday, December 17, and the “Magic of Christmas” with Central New York native Leon and Romy, Season 8 winners of America’s Got Talent on Friday, December 18 and Saturday, December 19.
