During U.S. peak travel periods, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has worked hard to reduce security line wait times by increasing staffing and partnerships with airports and airlines. However, domestic and international air travel has surged by more than five percent this year. flightSpeak aims to assist passengers by providing advance notice so they can arrive at the airport with enough time to clear potentially lengthy security lines.

flightSpeak’s CheckPoint feature leverages a combination of flight volumes, weather information, and machine learning to improve wait time estimation accuracy. In addition to its proprietary approach, the app enables passengers to upload their own security wait times, providing current and real-time estimates based on the real-world experience of travelers. flightSpeak will initially provide CheckPoint for the largest 50 U.S. airports, and will continue the rollout to the 300 global airports currently represented on the app.
